Frequently Asked Questions

What is a decorative bed quilt?

A decorative bed quilt is a lightweight quilted layer that can be used on top of bedding for added comfort, warmth and colour. It can also be folded across the bottom of the bed as a decorative finishing layer.

What is the difference between a quilt and a bedspread?

The terms are often used interchangeably, but quilts are normally made from multiple stitched layers, while a bedspread can simply refer to a decorative covering placed over a bed. Kabode quilts are quilted, padded layers that can be used both decoratively and practically.

Can a quilt be used instead of a duvet?

A quilt can be used on its own when a lighter covering is preferred, particularly in warmer weather. During cooler months, it can also be layered over or alongside a duvet for additional comfort.

Are Kabode quilts made from organic cotton?

Kabode decorative quilts feature organic cotton outer fabrics. The filling can vary depending on the individual design, so the product page should be checked for the full material composition.

Are the quilts reversible?

Yes. Our decorative quilts are designed with coordinating patterns on both sides, allowing you to change the look of the bed simply by turning the quilt over.

What sizes are the quilts available in?

Kabode decorative quilts are currently available in cot bed, single and double sizes. Availability can vary by design.

Decorative cotton quilts for beautifully layered beds

A decorative quilt is an easy way to add colour, pattern and an extra layer of comfort to a bedroom. Kabode quilts are designed to work across the bed as a lightweight layer, folded at the foot of the bed or styled with coordinating bedding.

Our reversible designs feature soft organic cotton outers and are available in cot bed, single and double sizes.

Reversible bed quilts made for everyday use

Each quilt is designed with two coordinating sides, making it easy to change the look of a room without replacing the whole bedding set.

Use them as an extra layer on cooler nights, a lighter covering during warmer months or simply as a decorative bedspread during the day.

Choosing the right quilt size

Our decorative quilts are available in sizes to suit different stages and bed types.

Cot bed quilts are designed for toddler and cot bed bedrooms.

Single quilts work well across a standard single bed and are ideal for children’s bedrooms.

Double quilts offer more coverage for larger beds and can also create an oversized layered look on a single bed.
